Shiatsu

Shiatsu ("finger pressure") is an advanced form of body therapy in Japan, which emerged from the traditional Chinese massage (Tuina). At the beginning of the 20th Century in Japan were combined various forms of energetic bodywork and manual therapies and Shiatsu combined under the name to distinguish itself from the pure relaxation massage. Literally translated, Shiatsu means "finger pressure", the treatment involves much more: to touch the whole body is used. Here, the therapist works with less muscle strength than his body weight and attempts during treatment "energy relationship" make the patient (within the meaning of Qi energy here). For applying mindfulness, sensitivity and openness is needed.
